Title:Collective Decision-Making and Welfare Measurement
Coordinator:Susumu Cato (University of Tokyo)
Audiencet: Invitation only
Abstract:This workshop will explore the frontiers of social choice theory. What constitutes a democratic voting system? What is a normative measure of welfare? By inviting leading experts in social choice theory, we aim to examine the intersection of political philosophy and ethics while addressing the challenges of collective decision-making in contemporary society. Through this, we seek to provide new theoretical insights for building a fair and sustainable society.
