Title：Rethinking Deliberative Democracy

Abstract：A long time has passed since deliberative democracy has been discussed. Since then, various points of discussion have been examined including the relationship between deliberative democracy and representative democracy, the problem of reason and emotions in deliberations, as well as the economic foundations for deliberation. What issues will be key in the further evolution of the theory and practice of deliberative democracy in the future? We have invited two leading scholars on deliberative democracy to discuss these issues.
